Step back in time
and make your weddingvows in a romantic heritage-listed Pioneers’
chapel, where weddings have been held since the
1800's. Civil
and religious weddings and other celebrations may be held in
this beautifully restored former church close to the Gateway
Bridge. The costis only $150
- to assist with maintenance by non-profit group ofrelatives and friends of the pioneers.
The chapel
is on ground level, with easy wheelchair access and you can
drive right
to the door, some parking is available in the grounds.
The
little Gothic landmark chapel has high cathedral ceilings,
polished Jarrah floors and traditional red carpet, lovely
silky oak pews seat 40–50,with extra seating if required. Play the wedding
march on the Yamaha Organ. The
arched doorway and gabled portico make great backdrops for
photographs.
Add
a joyous note to the ceremony with the ringing of the
wedding bell hanging from the unique gabled belfry beside
the chapel.
The graves
of Tingalpa pioneers dating from 1868 nestle beneath trees
dotted around the picturesque grounds.
